Have Your Say on Britain's Natural Environment: Two Cities Online CPF

How can we restore nature, support our farmers and protect the countryside for future generations?

Britain's countryside is one of our greatest national assets. Supporting wildlife, farming and local communities, while sustaining the environment for the long term, needs careful and practical policy thinking. The Conservative Policy Forum's discussion brief, Britain's Natural Environment, sets out the challenges, from the loss of wildflower meadows and degraded peatlands to river pollution, invasive species and the uncertainty farmers face over Environmental Land Management schemes.

The Rt Hon Victoria Atkins MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, has launched this consultation to gather members' views. Responses will feed into her work and the Leader's Policy Renewal Programme. You can read the brief here.

You are welcome to respond to any one, several or all of the brief's questions. They cover funding and valuing nature, land use and farming, pollution, climate resilience and biosecurity, and which native species we should prioritise.
